Zavier loves to watch YouTube. His fav clips are people demonstrating what their dvds and cases look like; silly songs; old Nick Jr promo segments; and cartoon clips. He likes to watch it on his "phone" (iTouch) and laptop. He also likes to watch short clips of movies/cartoons (a few minutes in length) on Abby's portable dvd player. On his ideal planet, he has all 3 of them going at once, maybe with our flatscreen tv too, reclined on the leather sofa with his blanket and some chips. Yup, that's Zavier's ideal moment in a nutshell.
Anyway, yesterday he lost his laptop for a week because he removed a few of the keys. I sat down with him and explained it to him while holding the laptop and the calendar:
"First, you took off laptop keys. Then, no laptop for one week. Today is Monday, March 12, 2012. You can have laptop on Monday, March 19, 2012. No taking off laptop keys."
He understood, but didn't look that sad, and I couldn't figure out why. I brought the laptop to my room. By the time I came back out, he was already watching YouTube on the big tv. He had figured out how to reach it using the remote, and it was that fast. He was already watching cartoon clips, and jumping around in complete glee.
