Independence

There are quite a few things that Zavier has learned how to do independently that deal with life skills...things that for elderly they refer to as "activities of daily living" or ADLs. I thought I'd share some of the things that Zavier can now do, because I'm really proud of all of his hard work:

- he can buckle and unbuckle his 5 pt harness in the car.
- when we arrive at the destination, he helps Abby by unbuckling her carseat.
- he can dress and undress himself, including socks and shoes.
- he can feed himself, using all utensils.
- he can drink from an open cup.
- he sits at the table until he's finished.
- he can comb his hair and brush his teeth.
- he can pee and poop on the potty, flush, wash his hands, and dry his hands.
- he helps me with housework.
- he behaves well in the grocery store.
