One more minute

I wanted to teach Zavier to negotiate for more time, like a typical kid would do (ie: "just give me two minutes to finish this game! c'mon!"). So I started by telling him it was time to get off the computer.

Me: "Time to get off the computer, Z."
Zavier: "No."
Me: "Ok, I'll give you one more minute. How long do you have?"
Zavier: looked at me blankly
Me: "You have one more minute. How long do you have? One ____."
Zavier: "one more minute!"
Me: "Yes, that's right."

We practiced this for a few days. Then tonight, as it was time for bed...

Me: "Hey buddy? It's time for bed."
Zavier: "No, Mommy I want two minutes!"

It was music to my ears. :)
